CPID Hong Kong Volunteer Team Participates in Public and Voluntary Service Activities of "Crossroads Foundation"

On the afternoon of July 21, the CPID Hong Kong headquarters and Green Energy International participated in public and voluntary service activities of "Crossroads Foundation" in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong, passing on the power of kindness through practical actions.

Eighteen volunteers wearing green uniforms participated in the sorting and packaging of donated materials at the Global Distribution Center of Crossroads Foundation. These materials were donated by people from all walks of life in Hong Kong and will be shipped in weekly batches. Half of the materials are designated donations to local non-profit organizations, such as Po Leung Kuk, St. James' Settlement, and St. Stephen's Society. The other half will be sent to communities in need around the world.

During the activities, the volunteers also visited Crossroads Foundation and learned about its operational model and organizational culture.

This social initiative is not only a practice of public service, but also a down-to-earth lesson in public service awareness, and has received positive responses and recognition from employees at the Hong Kong headquarters. Volunteers said that every item carries the deep friendship of the donors, and that they felt deeply honored to play a part in passing on this kindness.

As a central state-owned enterprise based in Hong Kong, China Power will continue to pay attention to the livelihood needs in Hong Kong, actively participate in various social welfare activities, and contribute to the long-term stability and high-quality development of Hong Kong.
