China Power Shentou Power Generation's 2 × 600 MW Units Rank First in the Region for Equipment Utilization Hours in the First Half of the Year

On July 1, according to the Shanxi Provincial Power Dispatching Centre, the Phase I 2 × 600 MW units of China Power Shentou Power Generation generated nearly 3.8 billion kWh of electricity from January to June, ranking first in the equipment utilization hours among comparable units dispatched by Shanxi Province.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has focused on its core objective of "stable generation, increased generation, and optimized generation," implementing targeted measures and overcoming challenges to comprehensively improve unit generation efficiency and market competitiveness. In equipment operation and maintenance, the company has strengthened refined safety management, effectively reduced unplanned unit shutdown, and ensured that the units remain in a healthy, efficient, and dispatch-ready condition, thereby building a solid equipment foundation for stable and full-load generation. In electricity marketing, the company has closely monitored regional power supply and demand as well as changes in market policies, optimized its energy trading strategy, proactively secured high-quality generation quotas, accurately aligned with grid dispatch requirements, and arranged unit operating modes in a scientific and reasonable manner. These efforts have maximized opportunities to generate additional high-value electricity and continuously improved the unit load utilization. Meanwhile, the company has remained committed to its mission of ensuring energy supply, making every effort to maintain a stable electricity supply for regional industrial and agricultural production and residential needs. During critical peak demand periods, all personnel remained on duty and fully engaged in energy supply assurance, efficiently completing all assigned tasks and demonstrating the responsibility of a state-owned enterprise.
