China Power Changshu Power Plant's Unit 5 Sets New Record for Continuous Safe Operation
China Power's Changshu Power Plant has set a new record for operational excellence, with its Unit 5 achieving 507 consecutive days of safe and stable operation before a scheduled shutdown on March 6, 2026. This surpasses the unit's previous record of 453 days. This achievement marks another significant milestone for the plant, making Unit 5 the second unit to exceed 500 days of uninterrupted operation, following Unit 6's record of 522 days. Unit 5 has now commenced its first planned major overhaul for upgrades.

The 507-day record underscores the company's unwavering commitment to the energy supply directives of SPIC, China Power, and local government, while demonstrating industry-leading equipment operation and maintenance capabilities. Throughout this period, the company rigorously upheld its primary responsibility for production safety, strengthened production safety and equipment management, and conducted comprehensive hazard identification and rectification at all organizational levels. In line with the seasonal patterns and equipment conditions, the team enhanced whole-process risk control and meticulously executed measures for energy supply security and extended stable operation.
