China Power Shentou's February Power Output Surpasses Prior-Year Level by 95 GWh
China Power Shentou achieved outstanding operational results in February 2026, with its four units generating 1,308 GWh of electricity and exceeding its monthly target by 11%. This represents a 95 GWh increase over the same period last year and was achieved despite the dual challenges of ensuring power supply during the Spring Festival holiday and navigating severe cold waves. The company also secured the full recovery of its capacity charges, delivering a robust financial performance that lays a solid foundation for a strong first quarter.

Since the beginning of February, the company has maintained a sharp focus on energy supply security and operational efficiency. It implemented enhanced coordination across production safety, equipment maintenance, fuel supply, and grid dispatch to maximize stable power generation. To meet the challenges of holiday schedules and extreme weather, the company strengthened 24/7 manned operation, intensified equipment hazard identification and rectification, and optimized unit load distribution and operating conditions to enhance plant reliability and efficiency. Close collaboration with the grid dispatch authority allowed the company to precisely match load demand and seize power generation opportunities. The company also secured stable fuel supply and pricing, streamlining coal transportation and unloading logistics to ensure sufficient inventory for sustained full-load operation.
Capacity charge collection is critical to the stable cash flow and overall financial performance of power producers. In February, the company elevated electricity fee collection as a top operational priority. Facing compressed market timelines and stringent settlement requirements, its marketing, operations, and finance departments worked in close coordination. Underpinned by reliable unit output, standardized settlement processes, and robust risk controls, the company continuously optimized its end-to-end revenue collection process, ensuring the full and timely recovery of all receivables through a "daily clearing, monthly settlement" model.
