#7 Unit of China Power's Pingwei Phase IV Project Successfully Completes 168-Hour Full-Load Trial Operation

At 20:58 on February 9, 2026, #7 unit of the Pingwei Phase IV 2 × 1000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power project, in which China Power holds a stake, successfully completed the 168-hour full-load trial operation, marking its official entry into commercial operation. During the trial operation, the unit operated stably with excellent performance indicators and environmental emissions superior to national standards, achieving efficient and clean power generation.

As a key supporting power project under Anhui Province's 14th Five-Year Plan, the Pingwei Phase IV Project consists of two 1000 MW ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired units. The project adopts China's leading ultra-supercritical double-reheat technology, integrates advanced processes to optimize system configuration, and is equipped with high-efficiency denitration, desulfurization, dust removal, and other environmental protection facilities. Emission concentrations surpass national ultra-clean standards. Once commissioned, the project is expected to save 400,000 tonnes of coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1 million tonnes per year, contributing to the building of a new integrated source-grid-load-storage power system.
