SPIC Fujian's Xiamen Light Industry Group Phase I 10 MW Integrated Smart Energy Project Successfully Connected to Grid
On February 4, 2026, the Science City Phase II sub-project of the Xiamen Light Industry Group Phase I 10 MW Integrated Smart Energy Project, developed by SPIC Fujian New Energy Power Co., Ltd., was successfully connected to the grid.
Located in Tong'an District, Xiamen City, the Phase I project features an installed capacity of 10.13 MW. Upon full commissioning, it is expected to generate approximately 12.5 GWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to saving roughly 1,550 tonnes of standard coal and avoiding approximately 4,210 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year. The project is poised to play a pivotal role in accelerating the region's green and low-carbon transition while enhancing comprehensive energy efficiency.
Since breaking ground, the project team successfully navigated a range of challenges, including complex external coordination, evolving grid connection requirements, and updated photovoltaic grid-connection standards. Through systematic planning, proactive stakeholder engagement, streamlined grid connection procedures, and enhanced full-lifecycle project management, the team delivered a safe, efficient, and on-schedule grid connection of all sub-projects.
