Xinyuan Smart Storage Wins TOP 10 in the New Energy Field at the 7th Zhongguancun International Advanced Technology Competition

On March 22, 2024, The project of Xinyuan Smart Storage Energy Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Xinyuan Smart Storage), featuring the "High Voltage Cascade Energy Storage System", was honored as one of the "TOP 10 in the New Energy Field" at the 7th Zhongguancun International Advanced Technology Competition.

Under the theme of "opening up new fields in frontier technology, cultivating new momentum for development", the competition covered 8 domestic and overseas competition zones and 12 industry sectors, with 3,164 global enterprises and teams participating. The high-voltage cascade energy storage system designed by Xinyuan Smart Storage has a capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh and is directly connected to the 35kV AC grid through cascade deployment. Compared to conventional energy storage power stations, it eliminates the need for step-up transformers, reduces land use by 20%, improves efficiency by 2-5%, and reduces system cost by 5%. This groundbreaking design method represents a major technological breakthrough in China, with internationally leading technical parameters in the energy storage system. When completed, the project will become the world's largest cascade energy storage system in terms of single machine capacity and highest voltage level, achieving a technological leap from 0 to 1 for State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC).
