Shandong Energy Fights against Heavy Wind and Snow

December 13, 2023, Shandong Meteorological Bureau issued warnings, and SPIC Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. ("Shandong Energy") acted immediately. The QSHE Department issued an order at the first time and organized a special meeting with the Engineering and Construction Department, the Production and Technology Department and the related units. All the related parties attached great importance to the management and control of possible extreme weather risks, developed practical and effective measures, strictly implemented the reporting system, released regional early warning and disaster risk tips, and took effective measures in emergency material reserves and supply security.

Eastern Shandong Branch deployed measures for extreme weather conditions, traffic safety, material reserve and emergency management for its stations and under-construction projects, and supervised and inspected the emergency material reserve at its stations. Western Shandong Branch conducted winter safety training in advance, and organized and carried out special work to prevent cold and frost in winter. Energy Technology Branch activated the emergency plan and organized daily safety meetings to know the safety situation of each station. The wind farms at Shanghe and Ningjin, which were greatly affected by rain and snow, implemented safety measures for winter rain and snow in a timely manner, increased the frequency of inspection of outdoor equipment and facilities, and monitored and reported important issues such as blade ice coating in real time to ensure safe production.
