CPID and Wuhu City Cooperate to Build China's First Municipal-Level Virtual Power Plant

On November 6, CPID and Wuhu Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement focusing on the construction of China's first municipal-level virtual power plant.

CPID and Wuhu Municipal Government has signed the strategic cooperation agreement based on the principles of "industrial cooperation, clean and low-carbon, green development, and mutual achievement". The two sides will jointly build China's first municipal-level virtual power plant based on their respective advantages. They will work together on investment funds for emerging industries, promote cooperation in projects involving wind power, photovoltaic power, source-grid-load-storage, and user-side integrated smart energy, carry out strategic cooperation in emerging industries in a deep-going way, and invest in modern agricultural industry to boost the construction of a beautiful countryside.

Wuhu City is the sub center of Anhui Province with economic aggregate ranking second in Anhui. In recent years, Wuhu City endeavors to develop and expand emerging industry clusters such as new energy, energy conservation and environment protection, and intelligent computing. In the context of the signing of this agreement, the cooperation agreement for the implementation of the DC Distribution Product Manufacturing Project and the cooperation agreement for the implementation of Yuanhe New Energy Storage Device Manufacturing Base Project are successfully signed.

In the next step, CPID will deepen the cooperation with Wuhu City in the fields of source-grid-load-storage, integrated smart energy, emerging industries, and modern agriculture in an all-round manner. They will jointly promote clean energy and modern energy management, facilitate green and safety energy use, and realize a new era of mutual benefits in environment, economy, and society.
