China Power Dongming Energy Storage Project is Grid-Connected
On June 28, 2023, the Dongming 100 MW/200 MWh Energy Storage Power Project operated by CPID Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. was successfully connected to the grid.
Located in Dongming County, Heze City, Shandong Province, and covering an area of about 29 mu, the project is equipped with 100 MW/200 MWh lithium iron phosphate batteries and 1 MW/4 MWh sodium ion batteries, divided into 32 + 1 energy storage units, with the advantages of high energy density and long cycle life. A number of standardized engineering highlights formed during the construction process are intended to be declared for industrial and national quality engineering awards.
The project will contribute to the effective utilization of local new energy, alleviate grid peaking, and is of great significance in improving the quality of regional power supply and the security of grid operation.
The project is listed as one of the second batch of energy storage power station demonstration projects in Shandong Province. The project will help CPID realize the synergistic development of new energy projects such as wind and PV power projects and other industries such as integrated smart energy in southwest Shandong.
