Mr. He Xi Meets Prof. C.C. Chan of the University of Hong Kong

On June 8, 2023, Prof. C.C. Chan, Honorary Professor of the University of Hong Kong, Founding Director of International Academician Science & Technology Innovation Center (ASTI Center) and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and his delegation visited CPID headquarters in Hong Kong. Mr. He Xi, Chairman of CPID, and Mr. Gao Ping, President of CPID, participated in the research and exchange.

Mr. He welcomed Prof. Chan and his delegation and introduced the general situation of CPID, focusing on CPID's achievements in the implementation of China's "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" targets, green and low-carbon energy transition and new industry layout. Mr. He said that CPID has accumulated profound technical advantages in the new track of green energy emerging industries such as energy storage, green electric transportation, color PV power, etc., the ASTI Center has rich resources of industry, academia and research, international experts and governments, and both sides have good prospects for cooperation. Mr. He expressed that CPID is willing to cooperate with the ASTI Center in the fields of solar energy storage and DC flexible technologies, green electric transportation and integrated smart energy, giving full play to the respective advantages of both sides and contributing to the green and low-carbon development of Hong Kong and the planning and construction of the northern metropolitan area.

Prof. Chan expressed his gratitude to CPID for its warm welcome. Prof. Chan said that Hong Kong has the unique advantage of being supported by the motherland and connected to the world, as well as a strong scientific and technological base and many high-quality scientific and technological talents. Prof. Chan expressed that the ASTI Center has adhered to the vision of "innovation promotion, cross-border integration, strong science and technology for the benefit of mankind" and the concept of "cross-fields innovation, multi-industry business model complementing innovation and multi-level R&D system innovation", and has good scientific, technological, governmental and industrial resources, and has built an internationalized innovation platform for technology incubation, technology transfer and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and is willing to work hand in hand with CPID to promote the application of multi-energy storage and flexible DC technologies, green electric transportation and integrated smart energy in Hong Kong, and to support the Clean Air Plan for Hong Kong 2035 and the Hong Kong Roadmap on Popularization of Electric Vehicles.
