CPID Provides Online Training on Disclosure of Environmental Information

On March 7, 2022, CPID provided an online training session on the Management Measures for Legal Disclosure of Enterprise Environmental Information in response to the country's requirements for disclosure of relevant environmental information, involving 150 participants from 25 organizations involved in the management of environmental information disclosure.

Promoting legal disclosure of environmental information is an important initiative for promoting ecological civilization and fully deepening the reform of the fundamental system of environmental governance, and an important impetus for innovation in reforming the environment management system. The management measures expressly specify the entities responsible for disclosure of environmental information, focusing on enterprises that cause great impact on the environment and attract the high attention of the public. The entities classified as key pollution discharging units, enterprises requiring mandatory cleaner production audit, listed enterprises that meet the specified conditions, and enterprises that issue bonds are requested to disclose their environmental information. Meanwhile, the procedures for delevoping the list of the enterprises that should disclosure their environmental information, and the period of including the enterprises into the list are also specified.

The training has enabled the organization concerned to better understand the changes and new requirements for disclosure of environmental information, as well as the information disclosure management. The training attained the desired outcome and laid a solid foundation for CPID to efficiently manage the disclosure of environmental information.
